Trying to convince people of my worth was ingrained into me since my teens. Insecure and unaware, I'd often get into relationships where I'd constantly be trying to please them, and forget my needs entirely. I thought the more I showed my love, the more it would be reciprocated.
It wasn't. For my 51st Heart-route in Battersea park, I share my new poem 'Half-hearted' plus my tips on how to break this cycle, and set yourself free!...

After getting a taste for cycling in the city on my East London route, I decided to explore one of my favourite parks, and search for some squirrels! Click here for my top tips on creating your own heart route Follow Your Heart On the weekend of 23-24 June 2012, Breeze organised The Big Breeze Bike Ride, the UK’s first ever event to get thousands of women riding a bike at the same time! So I decided to celebrate this event by creating a nice scenic heart-route all along the canals! Location East London Heart Route 7 miles Cycle Your Heart Out Me and fellow Breeze Champions, Shahanara and Gita led the ride and met all the ladies at Victoria Park. We cycled through the scenic Limehouse Basin, historic Three Mills and right past the Olympic stadium! A huge thank you to all the everyone who took part! The sun decided to show it's face and we celebrated at the end with some ice-cream and cake at the Lakeside Pavilion in Victoria Park.
