After meeting back in England as British Cycling Breeze ride leaders, Ana and Colette decided to join me in sunny Spain for heart shaped ride around the city! Cycle your heart out for... Sun sea, bikes and cheese! Location Barcelona, Spain Heart Route A beautiful 11km flat route along Barcelona's bicycle paths view heart route Cycle Your Heart Out The route took us on a relaxing ride past many of Barcelona’s main highlights, including Arc de Triomf, Barceloneta Beach and Gaudi's famous Sagrada Familia! This Christmas me and fellow Breeze leader Ana Jojic decided to celebrate the festive season with a sunny Breeze ride around Milton Keynes, followed by some cake at the Chain Reaction bicycle festival. Location Milton Keynes, England Heart route 4 miles click here for route Cycle your heart out The heart route took us from the Theatre district to sheep filled Campbell Park, past the canal and on to Willen Lake for some fantastic views of the Milton Keynes skyline. The surprisingly warm weather made it feel almost like autumn! Homemade cake and coffee at the Chain Reaction bicycle festival was the perfect place to finish our ride. A cool under cover market of locally hand made goods, sold from bicycles, hosted by MK Festival Fringe! Follow Your Heart On the weekend of 23-24 June 2012, Breeze organised The Big Breeze Bike Ride, the UK’s first ever event to get thousands of women riding a bike at the same time! So I decided to celebrate this event by creating a nice scenic heart-route all along the canals! Location East London Heart Route 7 miles Cycle Your Heart Out Me and fellow Breeze Champions, Shahanara and Gita led the ride and met all the ladies at Victoria Park. We cycled through the scenic Limehouse Basin, historic Three Mills and right past the Olympic stadium! A huge thank you to all the everyone who took part! The sun decided to show it's face and we celebrated at the end with some ice-cream and cake at the Lakeside Pavilion in Victoria Park. Following the same heart route as the snowy Breeze ride in February, we celebrated this Easter with a fun heart route around the lakes of Milton Keynes! Location Furzton Lake, Milton Keynes in England Heart route 5.5 mile Cycle your heart out Starting at Furzton Lake this gentle route took us through the parks of Shenley Brook End into Loughton and passed the fields of beautiful horses. We then cruised past Teardrop lake and followed parts of the great Millennium cycle route alongside the National Bowl. Spread the love At the end we had a little Easter egg hunt at Furzton Lake around the Triple Starhead Sculpture! Follow your heart For Richmond's 2nd Cycle Your Heart Out Breeze ride we were delighted to be joined by Richmond cycling champion, Councilor Katherine Harborne! Location Richmond park, London Heart route This lovely 7 mile heart route follows most of the off-road Tasman cycle path around beautiful Richmond park. Despite the heavy rain and lack of sunshine, Richmond's first ever Cycle Your Heart Out Breeze ride was a huge success! The ride took us around one of the largest Royal Parks in London, with some deer spotting thrown in too! Heart Route 7 miles along the off-road Tasman cycle path Cycle your heart out For Theresa Hughes from Watford, this ride was quite special to her... "I lost both my mum and dad to heart disease, as it's St Patrick's and Mother's day this weekend, I thought this heart ride was a really nice tribute to my Irish mum" To help dry ourselves off we enjoyed a nice cup of hot chocolate at the cosy Roebuck pub overlooking the beautiful Richmond hill.
