14/4/2013 0 Comments Ladies day out in RichmondIt was awesome to hear today from my lovely friend Justine who just completed a heart shaped bicycle route along the Richmond Tamsin trail in London. Here's how it went... Over a yummy bite to eat with sarah at Jamie Oliver's and hours or catching up on where life has taken us, I was left buzzing with energy and the compulsive urge to organise a cycle your heart out day in London, so I did! A combination of family and friends from all ages, there was 8 of us in total. Lisa, Heather, Debbie, Charlotte, Heather, Mirela, Lucy, Hayley, and myself. We were so blessed as the sun came out for us and was the first sunny day in a long time. We laughed, we huffed and puffed and admired the natural beauty with the deers. We devoured our lunch outside of the stunning Pembroke House before setting off to complete our ride. Everyone had so much fun and are all looking forward to the next event to Cycle our hearts out more :-) thank you Sarah. Beautiful story Justine thanks so much for sharing with us! Deborah Ellis from Milton Keynes decided to mark the begining of her new adventure to Peru with an inspiring ride.... What motivated you into cycling your heart out? My passion for yoga led to a chance meeting where I found out about Cycle Your Heart Out and cycling for a purpose. I decided to cycle a heart route as a thank you to Milton Keynes for being the starting point for my jorney to Peru, and to learn to live life with loving intentions. I hope my trip will be blessed, so I can explore the music, the landscape, relax, write poetry and hopefully fall in love… Please tell us about the route I had cycled Blue Bridge to Furzton over summer with my parents and had really come to love the redways, and a growing appreciation for Milton Keynes. So after finding the route on Cycle Your Heart Out from a previous Furzton lake heart route, I thought it would be a perfect little route to cycle. Thanks for sharing your lovely story and photos Deborah, wishing you all the best of luck for your trip to Peru. Check out one of her beautifull poems below. These lines are from her poem entitled "sometimes"
"When we can open-hearted show that you are me and with love know the longing, aching search will drop and judgment, hatred, hurt will stop And through all time compassion flow tenderness and kindness grow 'til past and future merge to now only this moment anyhow Freedom found to live with ease no more actions seek to please for sometime is too far away better just to seize the day!" By Deborah Jane Ellis aka Prabhupreet Kaur, Congratulations to Sustrans worker Clare Dowling for completing a fantastic heart shaped cycle route where she lives in Bracknell!
