20/12/2011 0 Comments The Beauty of BelgiumI recently returned from beautiful Bruges in Belgium. Often compared to Venice due to its canals and cobbled street, this cosy city is a true paradise for all chocolate, waffle, beer and cycle lovers! Walking along the narrow streets you almost feel like you've stepped back in time as you try and dodge the many horse and carriages!

Roberto from Tijuana, Mexico and Annika from Bremen, Germany are currently travelling the world by bicycle & are founders of the fantastic project Tasting Travels! I was introduced to Roberto and Annika through a friend and was really inspired by their project. Tasting Travels is a project that promotes travel as a means to connect with other cultures, people & places. They believe that through this action, many preconceptions are abolished in favour of an understanding of human society as a whole. Their goal is to look into this idea and share their results with the world, hoping that this inspires others to experiment with their own. "To taste a travel, is to discover a new flavour in life" To read Annika's interview in Biker Girls Click Here! To read Roberto's in Biker Boys Click Here! 1/11/2011 0 Comments Cycle Your Heart Out for Breeze! In July this this year a friend of mine recommended this fantastic cycle network ran by British Cycling called Breeze! The Breeze network is all about fun, relaxed local bike rides for women, by women! Although cycling is growing in popularity in the UK, the numbers of women riding bikes is actually shrinking. At the moment three times more men than women ride bikes! The Breeze 'Closing the Cycling Gap' campaign is all about creating new opportunities for more women to enjoy the fun and freedom of riding a bike. Breeze is the single biggest programme ever to get more women into riding bikes for fun. Their aim is to help thousands of women feel confident and comfortable about going on a ride. Last month I attended the British Cycling Breeze Champion training course in Coventry and am looking forward to launching my 1st Breeze heart cycle in Milton Keynes very soon! Check back here soon for more details! The new Breeze Champions! CYHO in Frankfurt! Our lovely trainer Rachel

I cycled past the river through east Berlin to the an amazing art event called the Stroke Art Affair. Apparently during the last decade, no other german art-show has been able to compete with the event regarding growth and media interest. I was very impressed with the high level creativity, particularly the graffiti art. I also managed to find time to interview two lovely guys working at the event, check back here soon to for the interview with Andre & Yaun from 'Ricepipes' in Biker Boys! 7/10/2011 0 Comments Auf Wiedersehen!I'm off to Germany today to promote Cycle Your Heart Out!

Click here to read his interview and check out his cycle song of the week and inspiring quote! This Sunday I ran my first ever half marathon in Oxford to help raise money for the world's newest country South Sudan. It was amazing to be apart of such a big event and see such a wide variety of people all running for so many great causes!
I was lucky enough to run most of the race alongside a very inspiring 13 year old boy, Elis from Oxford who was running in memory of his nan & grandad Tom Sinnott & Edith Goodgame! Congratulations for being one of the youngest contestants to complete the race and for giving me a grand tour of Oxford as we ran! Click here to check out the photos! Currently in South Sudan there are no ways to track or protect the thousands of street children in the capital of Juba, by funding advocacy work there we can give these people a voice and bring their issues and concerns to the table. If you would like to donate please click on the link below. http://www.justgiving.com/runforsudan This weeks cycle song of the week and inspiring quote have been taken from Biker Girls!
