​Day after day, night after night, that sentence would whirl around my head. Approaching Cycle Your Heart Out’s 6th birthday, I needed to finally fulfill that wish and overcome my fear of organising! For years I’ve helped people make heart shaped routes online and one on one, but never in a group, June 25th changed all that.

Celebrating Cycle Your Heart Out's 6th Birthday in Barcelona with around 19 different nationalities was a dream come true. It was beautiful to watch people's faces as they created their own heart-shaped route, and see the ripple effect finally come to light.​..

To help kick-start the heart shaped action I shared my 5 Barcelona heart routes with everyone to show my favourite bicycle-friendly paths. I then shared my top 3 tips for making a heart shaped bicycle route...

1. Highlight! The easiest way to make your route is to first highlight all the best bicycle paths and sights you want to see, and then dot to dot style, create your own heart shaped bicycle route.   
2. ​Size doesn't matter - Your heart routes can be as big or as small as you want.
3. ​Perfection is an illusion - Just like life, your routes  don't need to be perfect, nor do they need to go down the most scenic path, just try your best and follow your heart.

To create the ripple effect everyone was asked to share their route and use the hashtag 
#CYHOWORLD to help spread the love, and create a more heartful, loving planet! (which stands for Cycle Your Heart Out World!) 

Everyone that created their own heart route entered into a prize draw! Picked at random from my bicycle basket we had 7 lucky winners, prizes included a miniature watercolor art set, a wall map of Europe, a Spinning Yogi's goody bag and an official Cycle Your Heart Out mug! No one walked home empty handed however as everyone got and a little heart shaped candy gift!

Thank you to artist Cedric for sketching me, Javier and Magda. His awesome art project is called #humansoftrip where he travels around sketching people without them realising, then asking people to share his art. Cedric also loves cycling and joined in on the heart shaped fun creating his own heart shaped bicycle route below!

Big thank you to Will for being the official photographer on the day and capturing the day beautifully, Anton for making the tasty sandwich feast, Vanessa, Javier, Silvia & Gabby for helping me set up & get organized, and everyone else who took part and made the event possible! 

We'll be meeting Sunday 25th June in Ciutadella Park at 5pm. I’ll be helping everyone to draw their own heart shaped bicycle route, with prizes to be won! Bring a plate or drink from your country and enjoy an evening of unity. Together let's start a ripple effect and create a more heartful loving world.

I just wanted to wish you all an incredible 2016, thank you so much for all your support in 2015! I know that good things are comming for you this year!

As I sometimes find it difficult to stick to new resolutions, I thought I'd share my top 3 with you all. The more you share your own resolutions with friends & family, the more likely you'll get that little kick up the bum to keep on track with them! ;)

As I cycled around Barcelona over the festive season, I couldn't help but notice how much the street music brought happiness to people passing by. It reminded me of a beautiful quote that I saw recently at a good friends house, & felt it summed up life perfectly.

Thanks to Barcelona's musical talents Microguagua & Buenas Costumbres for inspiring me on my cycle.

Today I have a video update for you about my brand new video web series. To find out more click on the video below.

I graduated university in 2009 and didn't have a clue what I wanted to do with my life. It wasn’t until I went traveling around Australia and Bali that I rediscovered the magical feeling of being back on a bicycle. I then promised myself I would live the rest of my life motivating people to get back on those two funky wheels and follow their own hearts...

When I returned to England in 2010 I decided to express how much I loved cycling by creating a heart shaped bicycle route. After a solo yoga trip to Fuerteventura, Spain to gain clarity on my idea, a little brain wave occurred... by combining all my passions, cycling, photography, art & inspiring others, Cycle Your Heart Out was born! I decided to launch my first bike ride on July 2nd 2011 in Milton Keynes, England. 

After nearly 4 years, I've created 13 heart routes in 4 countries with hundreds of passionate people. My goal now is to empower people into creating their own heart shaped bicycle routes & follow their own hearts. Over the next coming months I will be releasing a special 5 part video series starting in April on how you can do it!
