Follow Your Heart Back in 2009 me and my sister Helen would often cycle from our campsite to the stunning Cable beach. We'd sit in awe for hours watching the camel silhouettes as they framed yet another deep orange sunset. It was thanks to this small town in Western Australia that I first fell in love with cycling. Fifteen years later, love led me back! Heart-route 53 celebrates a long awaited family reunion, plus how you can become a Heartful Cyclist too with my NEW 7 Day Ride Meditation... In my first book I shared a poem called ‘The Screenshot’ which was about the challenges of having family spread out around the world. In my new poem I wrote about the anticipation and joy of being reunited with my sisters again, and being able to meet my nephew for the first time. The Screenshot Part 2 Unable to tell If it’s the moon or sun Sea or clouds Sunrise or dusk Floating above the horizon Seat 35A Lips parted Silent and in awe At the rising red ball Destination Down Under Thousands of feet high Family reunion approaching Years of waiting For that warm embrace From those familiar And those brand new No longer a screenshot But soon side by side Location As soon as I landed in Sydney my amazing sister Tamara whisked me off for a swim at the iconic Bondi Iceberg. Memories flooded back as I gazed at the beach that I once sold Calippo ice lollies along. As I sunbathed next to my sister I felt like pinching myself as the jet lag had made everything seem like one big beautiful dream. I also knew that in just a few days I'd be meeting my nephew, and my arms couldn't wait to hold him!
