Follow your heart
I met Nicole from New Zealand on a campsite back in June 2009 in Broome, Western Australia. We would often cycle to the stunning cable beach on our days off work. Some days you would see crocodiles swimming in the clear blue sea, but most days it would be the camels strolling up and down the picturesque beach, carrying tourists as they enjoyed yet another deep red sunset. It was in this small town that I actually first fell in love with cycling. A couple years later fate landed Nicole on my doorstep, and we discovered we not only had a huge passion for photography, but we also owned the same funky camera! I lent Nicole my old bike Petra, and we were off on a photo-snapping heart cycle! The perfect start to start 2012! Cycle your heart out reunion! Location Furzton, Milton Keynes in England Heart route 5.5 mile Cycle your heart out This heart-route is perfect for nice relaxed cycle rides and follows parts of the great route 51. We cycled around the lakes of Furzton and Teardrop passed the open air concert venue 'The National Bowl' and on through the parks of Shenley Brook End. After a straight cruise along the redways, we entered peaceful Loughton and the fields of beautiful horses. After warming ourselves up with some hot chocolate at Giraffe restaurant, we decided to celebrate our ride by skating our hearts out at the Milton Keynes centre! 19/12/2011 0 Comments Cycle your heart out with... ElvisInternational motorcycle traveler Elvis from Norway decided to leave behind his motorbike and pick up his bicycle (Mi Julie) and take her for a heart-shaped ride around his favorite parts of Perth, a city he has grown to love. Follow your heart I guess there is a beautiful symbology of riding the shape of a heart around a city I have grown to love. The skyscrapers have been a symbol of my striving for what I want in this country, and this cycle was in many ways a thank you to Perth and the good karma it brings me. Cycle your heart out for … Perth! Location Perth, Australia Heart route 12 miles Freeways are always a challenge... but with the help of a good Perth map we managed to get around Cycle your heart out Highlights: Stopping on the south side of the river, overlooking the city skyscrapers. We decided to rent a small sailboat and go for a sail after our cruisy ride. The hardest part of the ride was cycling down a hill as my bike brakes are not great and is a full fixy, estetic but not very practical! Spread the love Elvis has been traveling the world by motorbike for the last couple of years, check out his amazing video on the left which shows him traveling from Stavanger in Norway all the way to Perth, Australia! Follow your heart I had such a great time completing my first heart shaped route in Italy, after mentioning 'Cycle Your Heart Out' to my friend Brendan, wanted in on the act. Next stop, who knows?! Location Buckingham, England Heart Route 17.5 miles It’s always a tad challenging to find and map out a heart shape ... but I think we managed a pretty decent effort - a beating heart almost with it contracting at the top & bottom chambers! But yeah the route was quite straightforward to follow. Cycle your heart out Highlights: The onlookers, those being the greetings we received cycling by the array of farmyard animals, from sheep to dogs, horses to alpacas. - Brendan The route was a wee bit hilly, so those inclines require some effort - but nothing quite like the magnitude of the Italian heart route! - Jordan Spread the love Did Jordan and Brendan’s route inspire you?
